What is Critter Worx?
What is Critter Worx?
Critter Worx is a family-friendly animal experience inside Westgate Mall created by Ready Set Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and education organization.
Come meet incredible reptiles, birds, mammals, tortoises and other animal ambassadors while learning about their species, their care, and the individual stories that brought many of them to us.
Every visit helps fund the rescue work behind it.
This isn’t just a place to see animals.
It’s a chance to connect with them, learn where they came from, discover what makes each species unique, and see firsthand why responsible animal care matters.
More Than Just an Animal Experience
More Than Just an Animal Experience
Critter Worx was created to give our community a fun and meaningful way to connect with animals while supporting Ready Set Rescue.
Many of the animals you’ll meet were rescued, surrendered, rehabilitated, or placed with us when their previous families could no longer care for them.
Some have incredible recovery stories. Others now have permanent homes with us and help teach people about responsible animal care.
When you visit Critter Worx, your admission helps provide food, housing, enrichment, veterinary care, rehabilitation, and support for animals in need.
Your visit helps us help the next animal.
Every Contribution Matters
Every Contribution Matters
Rescue isn't one dramatic moment.
It's feeding animals every day. Cleaning enclosures. Replacing UVB bulbs. Providing veterinary care. Buying bedding and enrichment. Building appropriate habitats. Keeping facilities running. And making sure an animal has somewhere safe to go when its previous home can no longer care for it.
That's what your support makes possible.
Ready Set Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations support our charitable rescue, welfare, and educational programs.
Their Comfort ALWAYS Comes First!
Their Comfort ALWAYS Comes First!
Animal interactions can be an amazing way to build respect and appreciation for animals — but the animals always get the final say.
Our team watches our ambassadors closely throughout the day.
If an animal shows signs of stress, overstimulation, or simply needs a break, they are immediately removed from handling and given time to rest.
We also intentionally reduce handling on certain days and rotate animals so they have plenty of time to decompress, eat, explore their habitats, and just be animals.
Because of this, the animals available for interaction may change throughout the day.
We will never prioritize an interaction over an animal’s wellbeing.

Monday Viewing Days — $5
Mondays are intentionally different at Critter Worx.
Animal handling is paused so our ambassadors receive an additional low-interaction day to rest and decompress.
You can still explore Critter Worx, see the animals, learn their stories, read our educational displays, and talk with our team.
Sometimes caring for animals means giving them space.
Memberships remain valid on Mondays.
