What Is Critter Worx?

Critter Worx: A Wild Encounter is an interactive animal experience created by Ready Set Rescue, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to animal rescue, education, rehabilitation, and responsible ownership.

Located inside Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Critter Worx gives families the opportunity to meet and learn about a variety of reptiles, mammals, birds, and other unique animals in a fun, welcoming environment. Guests can explore educational exhibits, see animal ambassadors up close, participate in special encounters, and learn what it truly takes to care for exotic animals responsibly.

Many of the animals at Critter Worx were surrendered, rescued, or placed with us after their previous owners could no longer provide the care they needed. Each animal receives individualized care, proper nutrition, enrichment, veterinary attention when needed, and a safe place to call home.

Critter Worx is more than a place to see animals. It is an extension of Ready Set Rescue’s mission to inspire curiosity, encourage compassion, support wildlife conservation, and help people better understand the responsibility that comes with owning any animal.

Every admission, donation, membership, and purchase directly supports the animals in our care and allows Ready Set Rescue to continue helping animals throughout Amarillo and the surrounding communities.
