Ready Set Rescue brings engaging, animal-focused education into schools, birthday parties, community events, libraries, camps, businesses, and private gatherings throughout our area.
Our programs give guests the opportunity to meet incredible animal ambassadors while learning about their natural behaviors, habitats, responsible ownership, animal welfare, rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation.
Every program is designed to be educational, memorable, interactive, and respectful of the animals involved.
Our goal is not simply to bring animals for people to see or touch.
Every ambassador has something to teach.
Many of the animals in our care came to Ready Set Rescue through surrender, neglect, improper care, changing circumstances, or situations where their previous owners could no longer meet their needs.
Their stories give us the opportunity to teach about:
Responsible animal ownership
Proper husbandry and lifelong care
Natural behavior and adaptations
Habitats and ecosystems
Rescue and rehabilitation
Conservation
Respect for wildlife
The realities of keeping exotic animals
Animal welfare and enrichment
We want guests to leave with more than a great photo — we want them to leave knowing something they didn’t know before.
Bring the animals directly into your classroom, school, homeschool group, library, camp, youth organization, or educational program.
Our presentations can be adapted for different ages and group sizes, allowing us to create an experience that is both fun and educational.
Depending on the program, students may learn about reptiles, mammals, birds, tortoises, snakes, lizards, animal adaptations, ecosystems, responsible pet ownership, conservation, rescue stories, and more.
Programs may include:
Live animal ambassadors
Educational presentations
Question-and-answer time
Rescue stories
Species facts and demonstrations
Supervised animal interactions when appropriate
Educational displays

Looking for a birthday experience that guests will actually remember?
Ready Set Rescue can bring a selection of animal ambassadors to birthday parties, family gatherings, corporate events, private celebrations, and other special occasions.
Guests can meet the animals, hear their stories, ask questions, learn about their species, and participate in supervised interactions when appropriate.
Programs can be adjusted based on the age of the group, number of guests, location, and type of experience you’re looking for.
You may also find Ready Set Rescue at festivals, fairs, community celebrations, nonprofit events, fundraisers, school functions, business events, and other public programs.
Our outreach displays give people an opportunity to encounter animals they may never have seen up close while learning about animal welfare, responsible ownership, conservation, and species that are often misunderstood.
We can work with event organizers to determine the type of setup and program that best fits the event.
The welfare of our animals is always our first priority.
Our animals are ambassadors, not props, and every event is planned around their individual needs.
Animal participation is based on each animal’s:
Temperament
Health
Behavior
Comfort level
Species-specific needs
Environmental conditions
Response to the event that day
Our trained team continuously monitors every participating animal.
Animals are provided with appropriate breaks, secure resting areas, water, temperature control, and opportunities to disengage from public interaction.
If an animal shows signs that they need rest or space, they are immediately given a break or removed from the program.
Some programs may include supervised opportunities to touch or interact with select animals.
However, handling is never guaranteed.
Which animals participate — and whether an animal participates in hands-on interaction — is determined by our staff based on the individual animal and their welfare that day.
Guests are always expected to follow staff instructions when interacting with animals.
We may modify or stop an interaction at any time if we believe doing so is in the best interest of the animal or our guests.
A great animal experience should be positive for both the people attending and the animals helping us teach.
Our ambassador lineup can include a variety of reptiles, exotic animals, birds, and other species from Ready Set Rescue.
Depending on the program, guests may meet animals such as:
Snakes
Lizards
Tortoises and turtles
Birds
Small mammals
Other exotic animal ambassadors
Because animal welfare comes first, specific animals cannot be guaranteed in advance.
We select the animals that are best suited for the event, environment, travel, temperature, audience, and program taking place that day.
That also means no animal is required to participate simply because they were originally planned for an event.
Our team handles the animal side of the program so you can focus on your guests.
Depending on your event, we may provide:
Animal ambassadors
Professional animal handlers
Educational presentation
Setup and breakdown
Supervised interactions
Question-and-answer time
Rescue stories
Species information
Educational displays
Photo opportunities when appropriate
The exact experience may vary based on the type of event and animals participating.
For the safety of our animals and guests, we ask everyone attending our programs to follow a few simple rules.
Guests should:
Follow instructions from Ready Set Rescue staff
Use calm and respectful behavior around animals
Never grab, chase, restrain, or pick up an animal without permission
Allow animals to rest when instructed
Keep food and drinks away from animal interaction areas
Wash or sanitize hands after animal contact
Keep young children appropriately supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, or event host
Our staff reserves the right to end an interaction if guest behavior creates a safety or welfare concern.
Outdoor programs may be affected by weather.
Extreme heat, cold, wind, storms, direct sunlight, or other environmental conditions can make participation unsafe or inappropriate for certain species.
In those situations, we may:
Substitute different animals
Modify the program
Move interactions indoors or into shade
Reduce an animal’s participation
Reschedule when necessary
These decisions are always made with animal welfare and guest safety in mind.
Every event is different.
Complete our Event Request Form with your preferred date, location, group size, ages, and event details. Our team will review your request and recommend the program that makes the most sense for your group.
