Volunteer With Ready Set Rescue

At Ready Set Rescue, our volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Every hour you give helps us provide the best possible care for the reptiles, exotic animals, and other rescued animals who depend on us. Your time supports their daily needs, recovery, enrichment, and—when appropriate—their journey toward loving forever homes.

Volunteers assist with feeding, preparing meals, washing supplies, cleaning enclosures, and cleaning up animal waste. You should be comfortable working around large snakes, lizards, tortoises, birds, and other exotic animals—and willing to help with the less glamorous but essential parts of animal care, including cleaning up poop!

Opportunities may also include helping guests at Critter Worx, assisting with mobile educational events and birthday parties, setting up and breaking down equipment, supervising animal interactions, and sharing our animals’ rescue stories.

Experience is helpful but not required. We provide training, and volunteers will only handle animals or perform tasks they have been trained and approved to complete. By volunteering, you play a meaningful role in helping our animals heal, thrive, and serve as ambassadors for responsible animal care. We are truly grateful for every helping hand.
